Our Objectives

Our goal is to nurture the correct perception and application of Islam. We aim to produce students who become catalysts for meaningful change in a materialistic society—championing divine values in their communities.

Introduction

Madrassah Fatima Taz-Zahra in Ottery, Cape Town is a girls-only Islamic learning centre established in the year 1994. Offering advanced religious education, including Quran memorization, ethics, and life skills. The madrassah fosters piety, discipline, and personal growth within an Islamic framework

History

During 1994 the need for a “Females Only” madrassah in Cape Town was identified where Muslim females could reside and learn in an Islamic environment with strict hijab (segregation) facilities. Hence, an institute of this nature was suggested. Other such learning centers in South Africa were only available in Johannesburg.

Courses

Fatima Taz-Zahra offers two key female-focused Islamic programs: the five year Aalimah Course and the structured Hifth (Quran memorisation) Course. The Aalimah course develops deep Arabic grammar, Tafseer and Hadith understanding, while the Hifth course guides students to accurately memorise the entire Quran with professional Huffaz support.
